What's It All About, Kaspar Hauser?

Each week we ask a band, musician or artist: What's it all about? What's the point? and Why go on? This week we ask Tom Comerford, frontman for the band, KASPAR HAUSER:

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

On January 13, I will be playing guitar and singing in the band Kaspar Hauser at the Ace Bar, 1505 W. Fullerton—music starts at 9pm. Joining us for the show are two excellent Chicago rock bands, The Safes and Magic Gloves. The bar looks to have a number of great tap beers!

WHAT'S THE POINT?

Because live music is where it's at, people. Kaspar Hauser has developed a bunch of new songs over the last year or so, and they make a lot of sense live. We are going to record them in 2012, and when we do, we'd like it to resemble the live performance. There will be a drum kit, a left guitar, a right guitar, a bass guitar and a voice.

WHY GO ON?

Because we believe in Rock music. We like to play it, and we like to hear it played. That is what we were thinking about when we set up this show. We hope you will come out and join us.

FRIDAY, 1/13/12
1505 W. Fullerton Ave.
