Laura Ingraham on The O’Reilly Factor:
“The average American out there loves the show 24, ok? They love Jack Bauer. . . in my mind that’s as close to a national referendum that it’s ok to use tough tactics against high-level al-Qaeda operatives as we’re gonna get.”
Good point Laura, I think we should base our entire foreign policy on popular TV shows. But why stop there?
-Americans loves The Sopranos maybe Wall Street should adopt their business model?
-Americans loves American Idol, why not change the voting system so that we can use our cell phones to vote for our favorite candidates in elections?
-Americans loves Survivor, should we bring back segregation so that different races can compete against each other in education, business, sports, etc?
-Americans love Jackass, shoud we tie you and Bill O’Reilly to a rocket and shoot you into a lake? Actually you may be on to something there, Ingraham.
If that statement didn't illustrate how out-of-touch Ingraham is, she also made this obersvation:
“The Red Hot Chili Peppers are actually a pretty good group.”
I rest my case.

"Happiness Runs" by Donovan on a cereal commercial
I can't for the life of me come up with a more appropriate tune, but I can't help but feel that the culture would be better served by having a Donovan song called "Fruity Cheerios".
